We Are Concerned Fairfax Educators

We are a group of Fairfax Educators and standing members of the Fairfax Education Association. We do not represent the FEA, VEA, or NEA, but we do speak for ourselves. We demand accountability from the FEA Board of Directors. We are in support of President Carla Okouchi and Board Member At-Large Joanne Walton.

We, the 373 undersigned members of the Fairfax Education Association, submitted this petition on January 5, 2026 as a vote of No Confidence and Impeachment in our FEA Board of Directors. We demand that they be suspended immediately and that an impeachment process be conducted by the VEA and NEA. Our Constitution and Bylaws (specifically Bylaw 9-2; section C) clearly state that the VEA and NEA must intervene when more than 50% of the board is implicated in a charge. A copy of the petition and signatures has been sent via US Mail to all three levels of the Association.
